Women’s History Month 2024 is all about inspiring inclusion, and what better way to uplift one another than through community? 👭 We’re inspired by community member Mai Akiyoshi - she’s building HeyMint, a no-code NFT minting platform. 🚀
✨ Our founder Laura Du shared some exciting news yesterday: The New Club announced their $3.1M fundraise to build a next-gen professional network centered around female engineering leaders. 👀 Check it out!
1. 📣 Announcing: Building at the Edge, Saturday, April 13
Are you a woman or nonbinary person in engineering, product, or design? 👩💻 Join our one-day summit on Saturday, April 13th at South Park Commons in San Francisco to celebrate the amazing female leaders building at the frontiers of tech across AI, Data, Climate, and Web3, in honor of Women’s History Month. 🥳
The day will be filled with Fireside Chats, Company and Tech showcases, and opportunities to see first-hand what is being built at the frontiers of technology. Plus, plenty of time for attendees to connect and delicious meals from local restaurants!

🗽 Not based in the Bay? Our very own Tina Dai is hosting a casual get-together in New York for Women’s History Month! Aiming for March 27th or 29th, so if you’re interested, fill out this form and she will follow up.
2. Community Spotlight: Mai Akiyoshi, powerhouse founder and web3 builder 😎
This year’s International Women's Day theme is Inspire Inclusion — encouraging others to understand and value women’s inclusion to forge a better world, something we absolutely agree with. ✨
💪 One power of women is our ability to support each other through community. This Women’s History Month, we’re sharing a community spotlight on the amazing Mai Akiyoshi who inspires us. 💡
👉Mai is currently building HeyMint, a no-code NFT minting platform where artists and creators can launch an NFT collection within 15 min for free! The platform now has 35k+ creators and 400k+ collectors (!!) and is used by the world renowned brands such as MasterCard, Ubisoft, and The Sandbox. 👉Mai’s favorite part about her current role is wearing many hats and being able to do so many different things such as coding, design, marketing, and hiring. She also LOVES her team (of which 2/3 are women!) and the opportunity to work with a talented team, making everyday life really exciting!
👉Mai’s journey toward becoming a Web3 leader, “I have been investing crypto since 2018 and hold most of my assets in crypto, which helped me a lot to understand the space and have strong conviction. Being ADHD also helps as that helps me learn and try new things as there is always something fun going on with crypto!”
