1. Season 2 is a wrap! ☀️ Thank you for making this season a memorable one.
First things first, a big THANK YOU 🥰 to our We3 community for making our Summer Season 2 such a success! To our OG members and new, thank you for being at every We3 event, supporting us on social media, joining and hiring from our talent matching cohort, & so much more. We are excited to continue building the web3 world we want to see - an inclusive one.
As many of you know, our northstar at We3 is nicknamed “50-50”: 50% of web3 leadership roles and 50% of crypto assets held by women & non-binary people. To get there, we’ll need all of us - women, non-binary members, and male allies!
Here are just a few of the ways we had fun together in Season 2:
🏡 Community: We made new friends! We grew the We3 community to 3,000+ members, hosted another 50+ IRL events and organized dinner clubs in 19 cities across the world. (Talked to a web3 OG or crypto-curious friend this week? Forward them this email to make sure they’re in the know.)
🤓 Education: We spent 76,411 minutes on Zoom talking NFTs, Layer 1 & Layer 2s, and DAOs. Check out our Tour of Web3 on our Youtube channel & stay tuned for more sessions soon!
🌱Professional: Launched our Top Web3 Companies List (companies.hello-we3.com)! We sent our first job matches to We3 Summer Talent Cohort members and are rooting for them in the interview process! 💸Investments: In line with our mission to increase equity of women & non-binary web3 asset ownership, we snagged exclusive investment opportunities via the We3 AngelList Syndicate into top-tier web3 companies, including Alchemy, Unstoppable Domains, SyndicateDAO, etc. Damn! if we say so ourselves 😍

⛲️ Up first! We’re excited to share a pre-seed investment opportunity into Fountain - think “Brex” for crypto! Fountain is a crypto wallet platform for work, enabling organizations to issue wallets with flexible permission settings, streamlining spending and expense management workflows, and serving as the system of record for organizations. We are huge admirers of We3’er and Fountain founder Morgan Lai - she is an MIT engineer, second-time founder, fund manager at Formulate Ventures and formerly Partner at Foundation Capital. 🛶 Next up! We’re excited to share an NFT project launched by Probably Something cofounders Natalie Meurer and Beth Nakamura (did we mention: they’re both We3 founding members, badass female engineers, and hiring for another founding eng! Let us know if you’re a SWE who loves NFTs). Lifeboat is a platform that aggregates NFT announcements. This project is currently in beta and We3 community members have the opportunity to mint a Lifeboat Pass, which grants beta access to the Lifeboat Platform and premium membership in the Lifeboat ecosystem.
